About

Oxford School of Emergency Medicine (OSEM) is an annual conference hosted by Emergency Medicine professionals from the Thames Valley Deanery. It provides a platform to showcase research, hear from leading speakers, participate in interactive workshops, and discuss current developments within the field of Emergency Medicine.

Originally founded by doctors in training for trainees in the region, OSEM has since evolved to represent the entire Emergency Medicine community. The conference welcomes doctors, nurses, physician assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, healthcare assistants, paramedics, and other allied health professionals who contribute to and celebrate this dynamic specialty.

Held in Oxford, OSEM has expanded its reach beyond the Thames Valley, attracting delegates from across the UK and internationally.

This year’s conference theme, “The Health and Wealth of Emergency Medicine,” explores the breadth and diversity of the specialty; examining its physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing, while promoting longevity, sustainability, and fulfilment within the field.
